el miércoles Wednesday; on Wednesday
el jueves Thursday; on Thursday
el viernes Friday; on Friday
el sábado Saturday; on Saturday
el domingo Sunday; on Sunday

Notice that the days of the week in Spanish are not capitalized. When you want to indicate that something happens every Monday, every Saturday, etc., use the plural form of the article: los lunes, los sábados, etc. NOTE: On the Hispanic calendar, the first day of the week is Monday.

Other useful phrases: mañana (‘tomorrow’), pasado mañana (‘day after tomorrow’), hoy (‘today’), esta noche (‘tonight’).



Examples of Days of the Week

  • Es un poco difícil para mí. ¿Qué le parece el martes por la tarde? ¿Le parece bien a las cuatro?
  • El martes me parece un buen día, pero tengo que ir a Cuernavaca por la mañana.
  • ¿Podemos vernos mañana por la mañana?
