Informal Commands
(18th of 38) |
Du The command form for du is the verb stem without endings and without a personal pronoun. Most verbs work this way.
Verbs that change the e in the infinitive to an i in the third person singular keep the i in the du command form.
In commands, the front bracket begins the sentence and falling intonation is used. End bracket items appear at the end of the clause.
The ihr command form is identical to the present
tense form. No personal pronoun is used.
The command form for Sie, singular and plural, is simply the verb infinitive plus Sie with a falling intonation.
Command forms are often termed imperatives. |
