Preterite

The preterite is a past tense in Spanish. It is used for actions that are COMPLETED in the past. The preterite endings are added to the stem of the infinitive (habl-, com-, viv-). Notice the -er and -ir verbs have the same endings in the preterite.
NOTE: Ver has no accents in the preterite: vi, viste, vio, vimos, visteis, vieron. |
