In Spanish, all infinitive forms of verbs end in -ar, -er, or -ir. The stem of the verb is the infinitive form less the -ar, -er, or -ir ending. All regular verbs are conjugated in the present tense of the indicative by adding the following personal endings to the stem of the verb: -AR VERBS
