To express the purpose of an action, use um ... zu (in order to) plus the infinitive and objects of the verb.
Put um...zu phrases after the end bracket and set them off by a comma. In separable prefix verbs, insert the zu between the separable prefix and the verb and write as one word.
Omit the comma if the phrase consists only of the infinitive.
