Spatial Adverbs
(5th of 5) |
The eight paired adverbs arranged below describe your relationship to objects in the space surrounding you. These adverbs have a very general meaning. In context, their meaning is usually more precise.. For example, oben means generally "up" or "on top," but depending on your location can refer to "upstairs" or "on the roof" or "in the boss's office."
These six adverbs are often used singly and can describe spatial relationships
of objects to people other than yourself.
There are two other adverbs, hier and da, which denote closeness or distance to the speaker, respectively. They may be paired with the other six adverbs for even greater precision.
The form vorne is merely a rhythmical alternant of vorn. |
