Dieser, welcher and other definite article words affect adjective endings in the same way as der. The rules applicable to adjectives following them are illustrated below. GENERAL RULE: All attributive adjectives take an automatic
-e.
SPECIAL RULE 1: After ein, add -r for masculine nouns. SPECIAL RULE 2: After ein, add -s for neuter nouns. SPECIAL RULE 3: After das (or corresponding form), add nothing else.
SPECIAL RULE 4: After eine or die (or corresponding form), if the noun is singular, add nothing else.
SPECIAL RULE 5: After der (or corresponding form, if the noun is masculine and singular, add nothing else.
SPECIAL RULE 6: After any other article ending, add -n.
The word irgendwelcher (any sort of) also takes the definite article endings. It affects attributive adjective endings the same way as der, dieser, and welcher.
