When you want to express an action in the near future, use a conjugated form of the verb aller and a second verb in the infinitive form, just as you would in English:

Je vais vous rappeler.
I am going to call you back.
Elle va téléphoner.
She is going to call.
Nous allons réserver une chambre.
We’re going to reserve a room.
Ils vont tourner à gauche.
They’re going to turn left.
Tu vas écouter?
Are you going to listen?

Examples of Aller + Infinitive

  • Replacez le récepteur. Je vais vous rappeler.
  • Vous allez me rappeler? Ah bon!
