In this section you encounter a second type of regular verb, attendre, in the expression j’attends ("I’m waiting"). Since the infinitive of this verb ends in –re (attendre), this type of conjugation is called the –re conjugation.

ATTENDRE—"to wait," "wait for," "expect"

attend -s j'attends
attend -s tu attends
attend - il, elle attend
attend -ons nous attendons
attend -ez vous attendez
attend -ent ils, elles attendent

EXAMPLES
 

J’attends le métro. I'm waiting for the metro.
Elle vend du pain. She sells bread.
