The verb faire ("to do, to make") is used in a number of useful expressions. You have already seen the following expressions in earlier chapters:

faire un shampooing	to shampoo
faire le lit	to make the bed
faire des courses	to go shopping
ça ne fait rien	it doesn't matter
se faire les ongles	to do one's nails
il fait beau	the weather is nice
il fait froid	it's cold
il fait chaud	it's warm

Here are a few new expressions:

faire un discours	to give a speech
faire ses bagages	to pack
faire sa valise	to pack a suitcase
faire ses compliments	to give one's best regards

Bonjour, madame. On vous fait un shampooing?
