Stressed Pronouns

You have already encountered the pronoun moi ("me," "as for me") in such expressions as: Excusez-moi and Moi, je viens de Tunisie. This moi is called a stressed or tonic pronoun. Each subject pronoun has a corresponding tonic pronoun.
The tonic pronoun is used: as the object of a preposition:
in positive commands to replace me or te in final position:
when no verb is implied:
when a subject pronoun is used with another subject:
to show a contrast or create emphasis:
