In earlier chapters of the program, you have seen the possessive adjectives mon, ma, mes ("my") and votre, vos ("your"). Notre (before singular nouns) and nos (before plural nouns) both mean "our." Just like votre and vos, there is no special feminine form in the singular. Use notre to refer to both masculine and feminine singular nouns, nos for masculine and feminine plural nouns.

EXAMPLES

Nos poulets fermiers sont en réclame.
Our farm-fresh chickens are on special.
Où est notre chambre?
Where is our room?

Examples of Possession: Notre

  • Et avec ça? Nos poulets fermiers sont en réclame aujourd'hui.
  • Notre dîner s'annonce bien.
