In conversational German, the most frequent verbs normally appear in one-word present subjunctive forms based on the simple past forms. These verbs are sein, haben, werden and the modals. Their forms are as follows:
Some other frequent verbs use a one-word present subjunctive form, such as ginge for gehen. All present subjunctive forms take the same endings as würde. |
