Future Tense

In a previous section, you learned that the near future can be expressed with a form of aller plus an infinitive.
In French, there is also a Future tense with its own forms. The Future is formed by adding the endings -ai, -as, -a, -ons, -ez, -ont to the infinitive: PASSER-
ATTENDR-
PARTIR-
With -re verbs such as vendre and attendre, the -e is dropped before the ending is added. Some irregular verbs like avoir, aller, and être have special Future stems.
The other irregular verbs that you have encountered thus far have the following stem:
