Verbs are probably the most important part of a language. A working knowledge of their different forms allows you to express your needs and opinions successfully. You already know the Present tense forms of être,
avoir, and aller.
You may also recognize the polite, Conditional form of vouloir: je voudrais. Finally, you know how to form verbs ending in -er, such as parler, changer, déranger, or écouter, you know how to form verbs ending in –re, such as attendre, and you have encountered a number of irregular verbs, such as pouvoir, vouloir, prendre, and others.
